Community engagement

The Office of Inclusive Excellence, Ethics, and Community Engagement provides opportunities for dental and dental hygiene students to develop skills for treating underserved populations and to develop into culturally competent oral health care professionals. 

Throughout the state, the VCU School of Dentistry and its students partner with the Virginia Dental Association, its dentists and local community agencies to conduct Missions of Mercy projects. Volunteers work long hours providing free dental care to populations with unmet dental needs.
